What does Encore mean?

“En” comes from environment and “core” means on the inside. At the core of our decisions is the pursuit to make the environment a better place. At Encore, we believe that there is much to do to help buildings go green. We are tenacious and will always find new ways to help buildings make positive changes again and again and again...

Development

Encore was developed in 2009 to help buildings go green. After living in condo buildings for years, Danielle Knight, President and Founder of Encore, was convinced that buildings had to do things differently and move towards sustainability.

Danielle has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Physical Geography from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario. Her comprehensive work experience includes field research, selling technical scientific software and consumer products.

In 2010, Danielle achieved her Certified Energy Manager in training designation and is a member of Cascadia Green Buildings Canada.

Danielle’s passion lies with the environment and a pursuit to create sustainable solutions for change.
